Friend Draft ("we", "our", "the app") is built to be simple, fun, and private. Here's exactly what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Friend names you enter — stored only on your device during gameplay. Never sent to our servers. Never stored after you close the app.
- Anonymous game events — e.g. "a game was played", "a scenario was picked", "a result was shared". These events carry no names and are not linked to your identity. They help us understand which scenarios are popular.
- Purchase data and identifiers — handled through Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status and restore purchases. To do this, RevenueCat uses a purchase record and a device or app-generated identifier associated with your device or store account. We never see your payment card details. We do not use these identifiers to track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell them.
- Push notification token — stored locally on your device and optionally on our servers to send you challenge notifications. You can disable this at any time in iOS/Android settings.
What we don't collect
- Your name, email, or any account information (no account required)
- Location data
- Photos or camera data (the app saves result cards to your own Photos library only)
- Contacts
- Advertising identifiers
Third-party services
- RevenueCat — processes in-app subscription purchases and validation.
- Supabase — stores app content and anonymous analytics events.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — process payments and subscriptions.
- Expo / EAS — used to build and deliver app updates.
How we use information
We use the information above only to operate and improve Friend Draft: to run the game, deliver and rotate scenarios, manage Pro subscriptions, restore purchases, send optional challenge notifications, and understand aggregate usage. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics events are retained for 12 months and then deleted. Push notification tokens are deleted if you uninstall the app or revoke notification permissions. Subscription records are retained by our payments partner as needed to operate the subscription.
Children
Friend Draft is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your rights
Because the app does not require an account, we do not collect personal data tied to your identity. If you have questions about your data, or would like to request deletion of data associated with your subscription, email us at hello@frienddraft.app and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the date above and note it in the app's release notes.
